1.1 About Shippex Services
Shippex is an international logistics and forwarding platform providing comprehensive shipping solutions:
- Parcel forwarding and door-to-door shipping
- Personal shopper and purchasing assistance
- Package consolidation, repacking, labeling, and storage
- Fulfillment and shipping support for e-commerce sellers
Shippex acts solely as a logistics facilitator and does not manufacture, sell, or guarantee the quality, legality, or suitability of any goods.
1.2 Customer Responsibilities (Critical)
Customers are fully responsible for ensuring that all shipment information is accurate, complete, and lawful.
Customer Obligations
You must provide accurate and complete information for all shipments.
- Use the exact registered receiver name and address provided by Shippex
- Ensure the receiver name matches the real legal identity of the recipient
- Submit valid tracking numbers and original purchase invoices
- Declare true and accurate item descriptions, quantities, and values
Shippex is not liable for delays, loss, seizure, or destruction caused by:
- Incorrect or incomplete receiver information
- Name mismatch between shipment, invoice, and identity
- Missing, incorrect, or undervalued invoices
- Misdeclared, restricted, or illegal items
Shipments with inaccurate or suspicious data may be held by Shippex, carriers, or customs authorities at origin or destination without compensation.
1.3 Identity & Payment Verification (Anti-Fraud)
To prevent fraud, scams, or misuse, Shippex may request verification at any stage, including:

3. Compliance Policies
Customs, Duties & Taxes
- All customs duties, VAT, taxes, inspections, and clearance fees are paid by the customer
- Customs authorities may reassess declared values regardless of invoices provided
- Shippex does not guarantee customs clearance or release timelines
Shipping Rates & Chargeable Weight
- Charges are based on chargeable weight (actual or volumetric, whichever is higher)
- Final shipping cost is confirmed after consolidation or repacking
- Rates are subject to change without prior notice
Warehousing & Storage
- Free storage is offered for a limited promotional period
- Storage fees apply after the free period expires
- Unclaimed shipments may be disposed of after reasonable notice
4. Prohibited Items Policy
Violation Warning
If a shipment is found to contain prohibited or misdeclared items, Shippex may hold, return, destroy, or surrender the items to authorities. All related costs are the customer's responsibility.
4.1 Strictly Prohibited Items
Shippex does not accept the following under any circumstances:
Drugs & Illegal Substances
- Illegal drugs
- Marijuana
- CBD/THC products
- Drug paraphernalia
Weapons & Dangerous Items
- Firearms (real or replica)
- Toy/airsoft guns
- Tasers, pepper spray
- Explosives, fireworks
Hazardous Materials
- Fuels, toxic materials
- Radioactive materials
- Infectious substances
- Batteries (loose lithium)
Counterfeit & Illegal Goods
- Counterfeit goods
- Fake currency
- IP-infringing items
- Stolen property
4.2 Dangerous Goods & Batteries
- Dangerous Goods regulated under IATA, IMDG, DOT may be refused
- Loose lithium batteries, power banks, lithium-metal batteries, or damaged batteries are prohibited
- Lithium-ion batteries are allowed only when properly installed in equipment and within limits
4.3 Restricted Items (Conditional Acceptance)
Some items may require approval, special packaging, documentation, or additional fees:
- Perfumes, aerosols, cosmetics
- Batteries within regulatory limits
- Alcohol (destination and courier dependent)
- Paints, solvents, adhesives, oils
- Electronics containing batteries
Export-Controlled & Sanctioned Goods
Shippex does not accept items regulated by ITAR, EAR, BIS, OFAC, CBP, or shipments involving sanctioned countries, persons, or entities.
5. Liability & Limitations
Delivery Delays & Force Majeure
Shippex is not liable for delays caused by:
- Customs inspections
- Carrier disruptions
- Weather events
- Strikes, war, government actions
- Other force majeure events
Liability Limitation
Shippex's maximum liability is limited to:
- The amount paid for the specific service, OR
- The carrier's maximum liability,
Whichever is lower. Shippex is not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
Returns, RTO & Failed Delivery
- Return-to-origin or failed delivery charges apply
- All return, handling, and reshipment costs are the customer's responsibility
- Refunds are not guaranteed once a shipment is dispatched
Personal Shopper Services
- Purchases are made strictly on behalf of the customer
- Product quality, authenticity, warranty, and availability are the seller's responsibility
- Service and purchase fees are non-refundable once completed
Violations & Abuse
Shippex may suspend or terminate accounts, refuse service, or report violations to banks, carriers, or authorities for:
- Fraud or attempted fraud
- Policy violations
- Abuse of services
- Prohibited item shipments
Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
Customers must contact Shippex support before initiating chargebacks. Abusive or fraudulent chargebacks may result in account suspension.
6. Amendments & Governing Law
Amendments
Shippex reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Sultanate of Oman, unless otherwise required by applicable regulations.
Intellectual Property
All Shippex branding, content, and systems are protected intellectual property. Unauthorized use is prohibited.
